January Themes

Our themes for the month of January are:
Penguins and Arctic Animals and Winter Wonderland. We have some cute crafts planned for the month. :)

It's Been a While

I feel so bad that it's been a few months since my last post. We have been busy at preschool.... This week and next week is Penguins and Arctic Animals. We did a penguin using our foot. Turned out adorable. :)

During Halloween week, the older children made a Happy Haunting lapbook. They had a blast doing this and can't wait to take it home on Friday.

Results From Apple Tasting :)

Our Food's Made with Apple's Taste Testing was a huge success. We had 7 children at the taste testing. 3 were absent. The children enjoyed tasting 6 different foods/drinks and our top winner was Apple Juice. All children loved the apple juice. The numbers below show the number of kids out of 7 that liked each item.

Results were:

Apple Juice - 7
Apple Cinnamon Bread - 6
Caramel Apple - 5
Apple Turnover - 4
Apple Chips - 4
Apple Pie - 2

Today is apple taste testing. Red, green or yellow apples. Which one taste the best....

Foods Made with Apples

Today we're going to be taste testing food made with apples, and charting favorites. I wonder what will be the kids favorite. We have apple cinn. bread, hostess apple pie, apple turnovers, apple chips, caramel apples, and apple juice.

New Block and Writing Center Outside

The childen are making full use of our new centers outside. I have added a writing center and block center. Items for the block center are placed in the storage container next to the rug and shed each night and the writing center items are placed in the shed. Clean up is quick and so worth it. The kids are really enjoying it.
I can't wait to finish our new reading center outside... I will post pictures when I am done. :)
